Summer Sunsets

This was the most beautiful photoshoot I've done yet. My photographer and I climbed Table Rock right before sunset to get that amazing golden hour lighting. My favorite!
Summer is just around the corner, and this maxi dress from Indah is the perfect mix of sexy and boho. With the plunge neckline, (I LOVE a good plunge neckline) and flowy silhouette this will be one of my go-to's. I love pieces that I can literally just throw on and go. Obviously, I'll have to get in hemmed to wear it in real life but I'm used to having to hem literally everything I buy. #ShortGirlProblems.
This Indah dress is unfortunately sold out, but I've linked another very similar one by House Of Harlow.

Chardonnay Day 2017

You guyssssss, It's that time again.. National Chardonnay Day!!!!

I'm celebrating with two amazing wines, Flora Springs 2016 Chardonnay, and Jon Nathaniel 2015 Lavender Hill Chardonnay. I've recently been getting more and more into wines along with the whole process that comes along with it. I've always wanted to get my sommelier; and with all the recent changes in my life have been thinking more and more about it. It could be a fun little road to take, right?!

The Flora Springs 2016 Chardonnay is sourced from sustainably farmed vineyards, which I LOVEEEE. It is fermented in a combination of oak barrels (76%), and stainless steel tanks (24%). It is full-bodied yet keenly balanced with richly-fruited notes of honeydew melon, guava, and pineapple layered with oak derived hints of honey, spice, and unsweetened coconut. Sooooo good!

The Jon Nathaniel 2015 Lavender Hill Chardonnay shows beautiful ripe, up front fruit, with layers of honey, vanilla, spice, pear, and Granny Smith apple flavors. Its creamy texture brings to mind graham  crackers and créme brûlée, yet there's a tension between the brightness of fruit and the rich, toasty, oak-and-less driven flavors. This is a terrifically balanced wine with excellent depth of flavor and concentration and a long, lingering finish.

Do yourself a favor and head over to and pick up a couple bottles. You won't be disappointed!

Special thanks to Flora Springs for sponsoring this post.

How are you celebrating #ChardonnayDay?!

These past few weeks I've been thinking a lot about change. About how much I hate it, and how most of the time I have absolutely no control over it. I'm a firm believer that 'everything happens for a reason' but sometimes I just need a break from all the chaos. (Hence my recent inactivity on social media). I'm a creature of habit, so when my routine gets interrupted it really throws me off balance.
Last month I totally blamed everything on Mercury Retrograde. Four planets (Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and Mercury) were all in retrograde at once.. April was a real shit show. I felt like nothing was going right. Did you guys feel it too?! I have accepted that change is coming my way whether I like it or not. At first I was mad, and scared. But now, I realize this is just the end of a chapter.. and I think it's about to get good.

Pineapple Jalapeño Margaritas

I love a good cocktail.. and by good, I mean FRESH ingredients.
With this recipe you can use store bought pineapple juice but trust me, it won't taste as good.
Plus, you don't want all that added sugar and other ingredients, right?!

For my margaritas I used a whole jalapeño, seeds and all (not the stem). I LOVE hot food though. The hotter the better. So, if you are not that big of a fan of spicy food, but still want a little bit of the jalapeño flavor, I suggest using just a half of a jalapeño, and take out the seeds.
These margaritas were not super spicy by any means, but you do get that nice spicy burn/flavor.

I used my Breville juicer (on sale right now for $150!) for this so I could add the jalapeño with the pineapple and not have to deal with muddling it.
For the lemon and limes, I used a hand juicer just because I think that is easier and faster than peeling all the limes and lemon and putting them in the juicer also. Feel free to do which ever way you think is easiest/faster for you.

Makes 6 margaritas

Salt Rim
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne

1 lime
1 jalapeño
Slices from pineapple

1 pineapple
1 jalapeño
1 lemon
6 large limes
Silver tequila
Blue agave syrup

Salt Rim
1. Combine salt and cayenne in a small bowl and mix well. Dump mixture on a saucer or small plate and spread out.
2. Wet the rim of the glass with either water or lime juice. Turn glass upside down and dip it in the salt/cayenne mixture and twist until all edges of the rim are covered.
3. Repeat with additional glasses and set aside.

1. Peel and cut pineapple into slices small enough to fit in a juicer. (If you want to use a slice of pineapple for a garnish on the glasses, cut however many you will need and set aside). Cut stem off of jalapeño. Add pineapple and jalapeño (1 whole for spicy, or 1/2 with no seeds for not so spicy) to the juicer.
2. Cut 1 lemon and 6 limes in half, and use a citrus juicer to juice.
3. In a pitcher, combine the pineapple/jalapeño juice mixture with the lime/lemon juice. Add 1 tablespoon blue agave syrup and stir.
4. Add tequila; I did 12 shots, 2 per margarita, feel free to add less or more depending on your preference, or how drunk you want to get.
5. Stir well and taste. Add more blue agave syrup if needed.
6. Place garnish on glasses. Add ice. Enjoy!

The 6 Best White Tees Under $50

My wardrobe is pretty basic.. Actually I pretty much live in basic pieces. My go to look is a v-neck tee, jeans, and a cardigan.. and probably a hat; and let me tell you, I've gone through a lot of tees trying to find good ones.

I love cheap basic tees like H&M, and Forever 21, but after I would wash them once they would shrink drastically. So, after about the sixth time this happened to me, I decided to start investing in some higher quality t-shirts.

Here are my top 6 tees under $50.

J Crew Vintage Cotton V-Neck T-Shirt // $32.50 (30% off with code BIGSALE)

BP V-Neck Tee // $18

Free People Rising Sun Tee // $58 $40.60
